Welcome to Dixie Dachshund Rescue!

We are a nonprofit organization incorporated in Alabama serving the Southeastern United States with some of our fosters being in Florida.

Our Goal is to give any abandoned or unwanted dachshunds a second chance at finding a safe and loving forever home.

We welcome new members who can assist us in providing that help for dachshunds by adopting, fostering, transporting, raising funds or any other supportive way.

As mentioned above, we are a nonprofit organization. We rely solely on donations and volunteers.

We cannot do what we do (give any abandoned, abused or unwanted Dachshunds a second chance at a loving forever home) without the help of our supporters and volunteers.

So if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to help save  a dachshund and give one of  these babies another chance at a life it so deserves, you can use one of the our two option’s listed.

WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES!

PLEASE if you have the room and time to love an  abandoned Dachshunds, PLEASE take a moment to fill out a Foster Home Application. We cannot save Dachshunds without your help. So PLEASE join us in saving lives.

* NOTE – A foster home is a temporary home for the Dachshunds until the Dachshunds finds its forever family. Foster homes are limited to Alabama and Florida.

WHY ADOPT AN ABANDONED PET IN NEED?!

There are forty five cats and dogs for every person born. Only one out of every ten dogs born ever get a home. Only one out of every twelve cats born ever find a home. Eight hundred dogs & cats are KILLED each HOUR in the United States, because there are not enough homes for them.
