Dominic – Adopted!
Age: 9 years old

Adoption Fee: $225.00
How—dy! I’m Dominic and thought I take a few minutes out of my busy nap schedule to tell you about myself.
I got a second chance at life and love, after being rescued out of a really bad place where frightened dogs and cats live in horrible cages and most never leave. Boy, was I lucky to get out! Gosh, this just can’t ever happen again! I’m looking for a place to call home for the rest of my life, a parent and home quiet and laid back just like…… ME! I’m only 9 years old, so that means many wonderful nap-filled years left. I was very sick with major skin issues and high heartworm positive. It took some time, but I’m now heartworm free and weekly medicated baths keep my skin healthy and itch-free. Wow, what a relief! Plus, gotta look my best, ya know! Size-wise, I’m about 17 pounds, which makes me a standard doxie according to some human rule book. For me, that translates that I’m small enough to pick up and held easily, but big enough to be sure to be noticed. I’m fully vetted, up to date on all the required shots, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. No more heartworms or pesky little critters to cause problems for me!
I’m currently living with another doxie named Lexi, aka the energizer bunny. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Well, Lexi is the hare and I’m the tortoise. Whew, she wears me out! Rather than try to keep up with her all the time, I nap or pretend to be interested in what she is doing. We get along just great that way. I don’t see any reason to run around or hurry for anything. I’m happiest just ambling along, which allows me to soak up fun and sun, while enjoying the quieter side of life. Along with my easy going nature, it only makes sense that I’m just Da Sweetest! I love every————-body! And everybody loves me. I love to be held ‘n snuggle ‘n give kissers ‘n, ‘n, ‘n… Anywhere near you, your lap, your favorite people and other dogs at any time suits me just fine!
Now, about that human rule book? Well, I do love to dig, which I have heard is perfectly normal for my breed. It’s kinda a doggie thing in general. That just means I need a secure, fenced-in yard and supervision when I’m outside. Those are really the only strict requirements I can think of other than that I would prefer a home with no young children.
If you would like to become my lucky parents, please fill out the application and list my name, Dominic, as the dog in which you are interested. I am being fostered in Montgomery, AL. For more information, please contact email@example.com
